Yansi Alexavier is a Toronto-based trumpeter and bandleader whose soulful sound blends classic jazz with fresh, modern energy. Leading groups like the Yansi Alexavier Quartet and Souls of Black Folk, he honors Black musical traditions while pushing sonic boundaries. His performances radiate warmth, purpose, and a deep sense of community—from local stages to NYC and Philly jam sessions.
